Palace Grout Film Remover will soften and remove the excess cement film from the tiles often which is left after grout has been applied. Grout Film Remover will also remove lime scale and surface efflorescence which sometimes forms on the surface of the grout joint in the first few weeks after application. It is not suitable for calcareous tile & stone.
Coverage: When diluted, this product will cover up to 10 square metres per litre, depending on surface texture and the degree of staining to be removed. Warning: Grout Film Remover should not be used on Calcareous Natural Stone, Travertine, Marble, slate, terrazzo, Granito, Cementitious tiles and any other acid sensitive surfaces.

To ensure the tiled surface is not acid sensitive, test-apply a few drops to a small innocuous area. If no reaction or permanent surface discoloration is observed then Dilute PALACE GROUT FILM REMOVER as 1 part to up to 7 parts with water and spread this solution evenly across a pre-wet surface. Apply the solution liberally and spread over the surface, covering no more than 10 – 15 m2 at a time, applying mild abrasion to areas where hardened cement film has accumulated. PALACE GROUT FILM REMOVER should only be used neat where heavy cement deposits have built up. Allow the solution to remain for about 10 minutes then flush the surface clean 2 or 3 times with copious volumes of clean water and scrub thoroughly with a synthetic fibre abrasive pad or a stiff brush and mop up. Rinse well with water at least 2 – 3 times. If necessary and repeat the application locally where any residual stains remain.
PALACE GROUT FILM REMOVER is designed for use on any non-calcareous tiled surfaces which are resistant to acid attack. This product is a blend of non-ionic surfactants, inorganic acids and sequestering agents designed to lift cement-based film, lime-scale and efflorescent residues from the surface and leave a clean bare tiled surface finish which may then be further treated with an appropriately selected surface protective sealer.
