Founded by Kaspar Winkler in 1910 (who worked up from poverty) by the 1920’s he was already expanding abroad. He had invented Sika-1, a quick-setting waterproofing admixture for mortar, which was used to waterproof the Gotthard Tunnel, enabling the Swiss railway company to electrify the important connection between Northern and Southern Europe
In 2013 Sika AG expanded further by acquiring Everbuild, one of the UK’s leading manufacturer of sealants and adhesives.

Sika-1 is a normal setting liquid waterproofing admixture for mortar and concrete. It blocks the capillaries and pores in the applied cementitious system to provide an effective water barrier against the transmission of liquid water.

Sikafloor 245 Level Deep Fill Ultra Self Levelling Compound is a one-part, thick bed cement-based smoothing and resurfacing compound for levelling out extremely uneven floors and screeds down to a depth of 50mm in one coat.
It is typically used for levelling floors prior to laying ceramic and thermoplastic tiles, lino, wood block flooring or carpet. When mixed as directed, the compound provides a free flowing/trowelable mix.

BTP very helpful in supplying a pallet of floor leveller. I needed it on the Saturday, but didn’t want it sitting on the driveway for several days. I called and they recommended ordering for Thursday to give a day’s grace in case of any delivery issues. In the event the pallet arrived on Thursday as requested. Reliable and good value
