DESCRIPTION

A colourless and easy to apply impregnating sealer that helps to protect against staining. Strongly repels water, oil, grease and allows surfaces to breathe. Suitable for polished stone, porcelain, granite, marble, limestone and slate tiles as well as fireplaces and worktops. Suitable for interior and exterior applications.

DIRECTIONS

Shake the bottle prior to use. Ensure surface to be treated is completely clean, dry and free from dirt, grime, cement and grout. If necessary, first wash the surface with a dilute solution of ROCATEX Tile & Stone Renovator 1:10. Rinse well to remove residues and leave to dry. It is important to remove any factory applied sealer or wax from the surface of porcelain before sealing. Apply this sealer thinly and work in with a lint free soft cloth. Within 15 minutes, whilst the sealer is still wet on the surface, buff well using a clean dry cloth or buffing machine. Leave to dry for 4 hours and then on more porous surfaces apply a second coat using the same method. It is important to remember to remove any excess from the surface and buff well between each coat. Ensure underfloor heating is switched off. Over applied and un-buffed sealer will dry and leave a greasy residue on the surface. To remove, apply white spirit or a little more sealer and then buff immediately.

Treated areas should be dry enough to walk on after about 4 hours but will take 72 hours to become fully resistant. During this time DO NOT cover the surface and wipe up any spills immediately. Consideration should also be given to any moisture trapped in a surface on newly laid floors in terms of covering the surface after sealer application.

The aim is to completely fill the substrate with sealer without over applying it. Do not apply in direct sunlight or in temperatures exceeding 25°C. Do not allow any residues to dry on the surface and you must NOT apply if an underfloor heating system is on. Use only in well ventilated areas. Do not grout until 4 hours after applying the sealer. Tip: Without prior experience or in cases of doubt, try the product in an inconspicuous area prior to use.

COVERAGE

Lower porosity:
Per 1 litre approximately 20m2 per coat.

Polished floors:
Per 1 litre approximately 30m2 per coat.

Rocatex Polished Stone & Porcelain Sealer MAINTENANCE

Routinely sweep the floor and wash with ROCATEX Tile & Stone Cleaner. Clean walls and work surfaces with ROCATEX Tile & Stone Cleaner. Heavily used areas may require intense cleaning every 2-3 years and you can use ROCATEX Tile & Stone Renovator (refer to data sheet) followed by a top up coat of sealer.
