RonaScreed Feather Finish is suitable for filling joints between plywood sheets and for levelling tile grout joints. It may be used for patching of minor blemishes and depressions in existing floors. RonaScreed Feather Finish dries rapidly and has excellent adhesion to concrete, plywood and cement/sand screeds. For residential and commercial areas where floor coverings such as vinyl, tiles, carpet or wood are to be used.

RonaScreed Feather Finish may be used on substrates such as concrete, cement/sand screeds, quarry tiles, porcelain tiles, ceramic tiles, terrazzo, flooring grade asphalt, internal steel decks, cement based boards and flooring grade plywood.
The substrate surface must be clean and free from all surface contamination such as dust, grease, paint, polish and any loose material.
Depending on the porosity of the substrate, it may be necessary to pre-dampen the surface prior to the application of RonaScreed Feather Finish. Remove any standing water.
In light duty residential applications RonaScreed Feather Finish may be applied over existing adhesive residues which are sound, well bonded and thin section. Any residues must not be affected by the initial wetting from the applied material. RonaScreed Feather Finish is not recommended for installation over adhesive
residues in commercial or industrial areas.
Timber floor structures should be sufficiently rigid ensuring all loose boards are firmly re-fixed. Plywood overboarding is to be minimum 6.5mm thickness and
screw fixed to the substrate at maximum 100mm centres at the board edges and 150mm maximum centres in a grid formation to the board centre.

Mixing / Laying
Add up to 2.8 litres of water to RonaScreed Feather Finish powder and mix with a slow speed drill ≤450RPM fitted with an MR3 type helical paddle to achieve a
thixotropic consistency.
The mixed material is to be spread evenly over the prepared surface (refer to Substrate Preparation) using a steel trowel, ensuring that all defects and imperfections are filled.
The substrate and ambient temperature must not be less than 5°C on a rising thermometer at time of application. Materials should be at a temperature of 15°C – 20°C at time of application. There should be light ventilation during and after laying. Apply the material immediately after mixing.
Tools and equipment should be cleaned with water immediately after use. Cured material can be removed mechanically.
RonaScreed Feather Finish is packaged in 10Kg bags.
