Soudal Fix ALL Turbo extended information
Q & A
Q: Can Soudal Fix ALL be painted?
A: Hybrids can be painted very well using most paint types. Note: Paint is less flexible than hybrid sealants and therefore the paint may crack when adhesive sealant joints move. We recommend always carrying out a prior adhesion and compatibility test.
Q: Can Fix ALL freeze?
A: Hybrids cannot freeze due to their extremely low water content.
Q: What is the curing time of Soudal Fix ALL?
A: The curing time of Fix ALL® will depend on the following factors:
- The thickness of the joint
- Humidity
- Temperature
- Surface
Under optimum conditions (20°C and a RH of 60% RH), a 2-3mm bead will need 24 hours.
Instructions
Surfaces and materials should be clean and free of dust and grease. When used as adhesive: apply in beads or dots onto the material which needs to be bonded, press the material strongly onto the substrate and leave to set. Fixed in 20 minutes, final strength achieved in 3 hours. Application temperature: +5°C until +35°C.

Product Description
Soudal Fix ALL Turbo is a high quality, neutral, elastic, one-component adhesive-sealant with very fast strength build-up based on SMX-polymer. Fix ALL Turbo is a KOMO-certified construction adhesive based on BRL3107.
Properties
- Quickly manipulable and very fast build-up xof strength with thin adhesive layer and on porous substrates.
- Very high final strength
- Good extrudability
- Good adhesion to most common substrates, even on slightly wet substrates
- Permanently elastic after curing
- Can be painted with water based systems
- Good weather and UV resistance
- No staining on porous surfaces such as marble, granite and other natural stones
Applications
- Bonding in building and metal industry.
- Elastic bonding of objects, panels, profiles and other pieces on the most common substrates.
- Sealing and bonding in the building and construction industry.
Shelf Life
15 months in unopened packaging in a cool and dry storage place at temperatures between +5°C and +25°C.
Soudal Fix ALL Turbo Chemical Resistance
Good resistance to (salt)water, aliphatic solvents, hydrocarbons, ketones, esters, alcohols, diluted mineral acids and alkalis. Poor resistance to aromatic solvents, concentrated acids and chlorinated hydrocarbons.
Substrates
Substrates: all usual building substrates, treated wood, aluminium, natural stone, plastics, …
Nature: rigid, clean, dry or slightly moist, free of dust and grease
Surface Preparation
Porous surfaces should be primed with Primer 150. Prepare non-porous surfaces with a Soudal activator or cleaner (see Technical Data Sheet).
Fix ALL Turbo has been tested on the following metal surfaces: steel, AlMgSi1, electrolytic galvanised steel, AlCuMg1, flame galvanised steel, AlMg3 and steel ST1403. Soudal Fix ALL Turbo also has a good adhesion on plastics:
polystyrene, polycarbonate (Makrolon®), PVC, ABS, polyamide, PMMA, fiberglass reinforced epoxy, polyester. While producing plastics very
often releasing agents, processing aids and other protective agents (like protection foil) are used. These should be removed prior to bonding or sealing. For optimum adhesion the use of Surface Activator is recommended.
NOTICE: bonding plastics like PMMA (e.g. Plexi® glass), polycarbonate (e.g. Makrolon® or Lexan®) in stress loaded applications can give rise to stress cracking and crazing in these substrates. The use of Soudal Fix ALL Turbo is not recommended in these applications. Not suitable for PE, PP, PTFE (eg Teflon®), bituminous substrates, copper or copper- containing materials such as bronze and brass. We recommend a preliminary adhesion and compatibility test on every surface.
Application method
Application method: Apply the adhesive by means a caulking gun in uniform adhesive strips or dots (every 15 cm) on one of the substrates. Always apply an adhesive dot or strip on the corner and edges of panels. Do not apply the glue in a closed circumference, but interrupted. Bond the substrate and tamp with a rubber hammer. If necessary, support the bonded materials. For bonding on absorbent and porous substrates with thin adhesive layer, the adhesive is already hand tight after approx. 20 minutes and can be loaded after about 3 hours. Thicker adhesive layers or non- absorbent substrates extend the curing time. Cleaning: Clean with Soudal Surface Cleaner or with Soudal Swipex, immediately after use Cured Soudal Fix ALL Turbo can only be removed mechanically.
Finishing: With a soapy solution or Soudal Finishing Solution before skinning. Repair: With the same material.
Health- and Safety Recommendations
Take the usual labour hygiene into account.
Consult label and material safety data sheet for more information.
Dangerous. Respect the precautions for use.
Remarks
- Fix ALL Turbo is paintable with most common paints. Due to the wide variety of lacquers and paints, a compatibility test is always recommended.
- The drying time of alkyd resin based paints may increase.
- Soudal Fix ALL Turbo can not be used as a glazing sealant.
- Not suitable for bonding aquariums.
- Do not use in applications where continuous water immersion is possible.
- Not suitable for sanitary applications.
- Fix ALL Turbo can be used for bonding of natural stone, but it cannot be used as a joint sealant on this type of surface.
- When applying, make sure that the surface of the materials is not smudged with sealant.
- Contact with bitumen, tar or other plasticizer releasing materials such as EPDM, neoprene, butyl, etc. is to be avoided since it can give rise to discolouration and loss of adhesion.
- When using different reactive joint sealants, the first joint sealant must be completely hardened before the next one is applied.
- Soudal Fix ALL Turbo has a good UV resistance but can discolour under extreme conditions or after very long UV exposure.
- Discolouration due to chemicals, high temperatures, UV-radiation may occur. A change in colour does not affect the technical properties of the product.
