HardiBacker Score and Snap Application
Use a square edge rule to mark the cutting line on the HardieBacker Boards before cutting them. When scoring, keep the rule firmly in place on the HardieBacker board and place it on a flat surface. With strong pressure, score the HardieBacker board multiple times. Just before the scored line, place the board on a support like a workbench or a wooden batten. To snap the board off, apply light pressure with a firm hand to the board. Mitre cuts can be made with this technique as well.
